Thanks for the video review, by the way! I think this is a newer version so they've apparently fixed the jitter/banding issues.Īmphurious01: I bought a Monoprice 19 Inch Pen Display a few years back, which is apparently a rebranded Huion GT-190.That was several years ago, though, so I dunno if they've ironed out the problems in their quality control. It's almost 200 bucks off, hence the consideration. (As far as I could tell the 21.5 inch is $799 rather than $663 so maybe you know something I don't) In either case there's a code for free shipping from the Huion site.Īmazon is having their Prime day sale. So going from this guy's experience I guess it's probably fine for people who can remember to charge the pen, can apply the screen protector perfectly, don't use tilt brushes, and use something like Lazy Nezumi or do exclusively cell shading I guess.Įdit: *According to the Huion site the screen protector comes already in place on the tablet.Īlso if you would be fine with 19.5 1600x900 rather than 21.5 1920x1080 the smaller one is $449. Has jitter/banding issues without assistance from Lazy Nezumi. Deal breaker for someone who loves those. Won't matter to people who don't use tilt brushes.

I hate applying these but I guess it's a one time inconvenience.* something about the format of the these things are not jiving, and as of yet I haven't figured it out, but I get pressure sensitivity out of some of the newer apps, so maybe there's something to that.- You have to buy a separate screen protector to get more of a matte finish that grips better. I took the laptop out to bestbuy thinking if I cruised the wacom pens I'd get different results. I know what I'm doing, I did put together the brushes, but I can't get diddly squat out of this pen, and to be honest it's not just this pen.

I know my drawing monitor works in illustrator with pressure sensitivity, it's the huion 22, and hats off to that, performs great. I bought this computer as an upgrade so I didn't have to tangle myself in wires with a monitor and run them throughout the house or be tethered to a desk. For which I paid a bundle of money to own a perpetual license, and I absolutely refuse to get roped into the monthly plan options when I already have all the tools I plan to use and I paid good money for them. Dude, the struggle is real - I'm using an old version of illustrator, CS5.
